Fortnite is voorzien van een fraaie cross-over. Vanaf vandaag tot 6 oktober is namelijk het Fortnite x Batman event. Spelers kunnen met allerlei Batman-gerelateerde zaken aan de slag in Fortnite. Eerder werd Fortnite al eens voorzien van thematische updates rondom Borderlands 3 en The Avengers.
Zo zijn er wapens als de Batman Grapnel Gun en Explosive Batarang. Je kunt ook het Batman Caped Crusader Pack verkrijgen. Deze bevat een Batman Comic Book Outfit en de Dark Knight Movie Outfit. Ook zijn er nog diverse losse items in het Batman-thema te verdienen, inclusief een kittig Catwoman kostuum.
Tijdens het event zijn er Challenges beschikbaar tot 1 oktober. Het volbrengen van deze uitdagingen levert je gratis beloningen op uit de Welcome to Gotham City Challenge Bundle. Hiertoe behoort onder andere de Catwing Glider.

What’s New
Party Hub
- Hang with friends while you’re on the go so the party never stops. See who’s online, party up, and play together. (Or just voice chat)
Weapons and Items
- Batman Grapnel Gun
- Available in Mythic variant.
- Found from Floor Loot, Chests, Supply Drops, and Llamas.
- The Batman Grapnel Gun comes with 10 charges. A charge is consumed each time the player is launched.
- When the grappling hook from the Batman Grapnel Gun impacts something in the environment, the owner will be launched in a flat arc towards the point of impact.
- At the apex of the launch, the player will deploy the Bat Cape, which can be used like any other Glider to traverse great distances.
- Explosive Batarang
- Available in Mythic variant.
- Found from Floor Loot, Chests, Supply Drops, and Llamas.
- Drops in stacks of 5.
- Max stack size is 10.
- This consumable item is thrown out in a relatively flat arc. It will home in towards opponents.
- The projectile explodes when in close proximity to an opponent.
- Explosion damage:
- 50 damage to players.
- 200 damage to the environment.
- Explosion damage:
- If the Explosive Batarang impacts the environment, it will stick to the spot where it lands. At that point, it behaves as a proximity mine, exploding when opponents come too close to it.
- An Explosive Batarang that has impacted the environment can be disarmed and picked up by both the player who threw it or their allies.
Bug Fixes
- Resolved an issue involving the Star Wand and AC/DC Pickaxes not doing the intended amount of damage.
- Because this issue has been resolved, these Pickaxes have been re-enabled.
Gameplay
- Gotham City
- As part of the Fortnite x Batman crossover, a Rift Zone has turned Tilted Town into Gotham City!
- This POI gives players unlimited Glider Redeploy. Just like a real Super Hero, you won’t need to be afraid of heights!
- Final Storm Circles will not occur here (in core and Arena modes).
- Final Storm Circles will no longer occur at the following locations (in core and Arena modes):
- Moisty Palms
- Greasy Grove
- Retail Row
- Pressure Plant
Bug Fixes
- Resolved an issue in which Ziplines could give players an unintended effect.
- Because this issue has been resolved, Ziplines have been re-enabled.
- When a player is eliminated, their damage towards the Storm Surge threshold will no longer be removed from their remaining teammates’ total.
Accessibility
Support-a-Creator codes can now be used for real-money offers in-game.
- More information on this will be available in a blog post later this week.
- Please note: For any Packs that contain V-Bucks, the revenue share will be applied to the Creator code that is entered when the V-Bucks from that pack are spent.

- By enabling Multitasking, all iPads will have the ability to rotate the screen orientation to enter Portrait Mode.
- If you don’t want to play in Portrait mode, enable Rotate Lock on your iPad.

Leuke update! Al zit er voor de echt leuke skins wel een addertje onder het gras. Fortnite heeft de shop, waar je met die vervelende V-bucks kan betalen, die je overigens ook prima kan grinden in de Season-pass. Echter… de Batman zit daar natuurlijk niet in, want er is ook een gewone ‘real-munnie’ shop. Kosten: 20e voor een batmanskinnetje.
Bedankt voor de Arkham reeks Epic… maar zoveel van mijn geld krijg je niet voor een skin. Wanneer komen er paarden in Fornite? Misschien dat ik dan de ‘Horse Armor DLC’ koop… Gewoon als reminder hoe idioot het is/was maar dat het helaas geaccepteerd lijkt door de gamer (al dan niet met moeders creditcard).
