Splinter Cell: Blacklist ligt nog niet eens in de winkels, maar Ubisoft speelt nu al openlijk met plannen voor een next-gen Splinter Cell. Dat maakte Scott Lee, de art director van Blacklist, bekend.
Lee benadrukt dat Splinter Cell: Blacklist momenteel de hoogste prioriteit heeft, maar laat tegelijkertijd doorschijnen dat Sam Fisher in de toekomst ook zijn gezicht zal vertonen op de next-gen consoles:
Sam Fisher and Splinter Cell is a big and very important franchise for Ubisoft, and yes they do support the franchise. Obviously we’re working very hard on current-gen systems and we’re super excited that we’re going to be across all platforms. For next-gen there are a lot of plans in the works, obviously we can’t talk about that at the moment but I definitely look forward to seeing Sam in new adventures, bigger and better as we go along. Sam will be back.Het is duidelijk: Sam will be back. Maar voordat hij terugkomt, zal hij eerst nog schitteren in Splinter Cell: Blacklist. Die game verschijnt op 23 augustus voor de pc, PlayStation 3 en Xbox 360.
