Konami heeft The Regiment aangekondigd, een contraterrorismesimulator waarin de S.A.S. centraal staat. Op het eerste gezicht lijkt het een antwoord op SWAT 3 van Sierra, dat overigens al een paar jaartjes oud is.
In The Regiment neem je het met teams van vier personen door middel van close quarters combat op tegen allerlei terroristen op allerlei plaatsen. Zo kun je de aanval op de Iraanse Ambassade van 1980 zelf beleven, of een overname van terroristen van een metrostelsel ongedaan maken.
De features van de game zijn:
