Amsterdamse ontwikkelaar Guerrilla Games heeft naar buiten gebracht dat Horizon Forbidden West zal worden uitgesteld. Oorspronkelijk zou de game tijdens de kerstperiode verschijnen, maar die datum wordt niet gehaald, aldus regisseur Mathijs de Jonge (via VG247):
“While the decision to move the game’s launch to 2022 certainly wasn’t easy, we’d like to take a moment to thank all of our fans for their unwavering support.”
