We horen hier en daar iets over The Last Guardian, van ontwikkelaar Team ICO, maar dat gaat er vooral over dat de game gewoonweg nog in ontwikkeling is. Nu dus weer, want Scott Rohde, SCE Worldwide Studios PlayStation software product development head – een mond vol, zegt dat de game er gewoon aan komt.

Natuurlijk gaan we er nog van uit dat Team ICO aan de titel werkt, maar wie er allemaal aan te pas komen is dus niet duidelijk.
We want to make great games. And when we see that the public is so interested in a specific game, of course that drives us to want to complete that game. But it also drives us to want to make it great. We would not want to ship that game if we don’t think it’s great.Wel zegt Scott Rohde dat Sony Computer Entertainment nauw betrokken blijft bij het project, want fans zijn zeer enthousiast en gepassioneerd over The Last Guardian. Hij laat weten het een eer te vinden dat gamers het project nog steeds interessant vinden en dat ze een geweldige game af willen leveren. Het is een motivatie om het spel hoogwaardig af te ronden.

We mogen hopen dat dit het waard is.
