The Last of Us wordt al sinds zijn onthulling overladen met prijzen en ook op de meest recente D.I.C.E. Awards ging de game van Naughty Dog er weer met veel eremetaal vandoor. Het spel was vooraf genomineerd in maar liefst dertien van de vierentwintig categorieën en ging er uiteindelijk met maar liefst tien prijzen vandoor.
Verder wonnen enkel Plants vs Zombies 2: It’s About Time en BioShock Infinite meerdere prijzen (lees: twee). Rockstar-oprichters Dan en Sam Houser, evenals president Leslie Benzies, kwamen er echter ook niet bekaaid vanaf. Zij kregen een plaatsje de hall of fame van de D.I.C.E. Awards. Eugene Jarvis, bekend van onder andere Defender en Smash TV, ging er vandoor met de Pioneer Award.

Momenteel The Last of Us aan het spelen en ik kan maar één ding zeggen: het is ze gegund. Wat een prachtige game met een mooi verhaal.

Terecht. The Last of Us is een geweldige game die op elk vlak me heeft weten te verbazen. En ik die dacht dat de Uncharted-games niet geëvenaard konden worden!
