PlayStation 4 firmware 5.00 nu beschikbaar in betavorm

Firmware update 5.00 voor de PlayStation 4 is nog niet officieel uit, maar wel in betavorm. De update kan dus voor een geselecteerde groep getest worden, zoals het gebruik van het Quick Menu en het delen van afspeellijsten.

The Quick Menu no longer defaults to the first customizable slot, and now will re-open to what you had when you closed the Quick Menu.

In addition, Sharing songs that you are listening to via Spotify can now be shared via Messages.

In the PS4 messages, it will say ‘Username’ has shared a song with the group.” and will have a icon to click on that will open the Quick Menu to play it via Spotify.

If you try to view the song on PS Messages, currently no song will appear. I assume this will be updated when the firmware goes public and the PS Messages app will recieve a compatibility update to coincide with it

You can do this with not just the current song, but any of your recently played songs, or recently saved songs. And for the songs that are currently playing (or were playing last) you can share either the song, the album, or the playlist that you were listening to. I believe that the “share playlist” is brand new in beta 4.

When you share an album or a playlist, it is the same message in your PS Messages app and on the PS4, but it instead says “an album” or “a playlist” instead of “a song” to read like: ‘Username’ shared a playlist with the group.
