Waar uitgevers als EA en Bethesda zich openlijk uitspreken tegen de Wii U, laat Activision-baas Eric Hirshberg weten dat hij Nintendo’s console graag blijft ondersteunen. Samen met zijn bedrijf hoopt hij de aantrekkingskracht van het apparaat te kunnen vergroten.
Voor Hirshberg is Nintendo in het verleden een goede partner geweest, ondanks enkele missers op het gebied van hardware:
Nintendo has been a great partner for us. It’s had hardware hits and misses in the past, but it has always found ways to remain completely relevant. It has some of the best game-makers in the world, and I wouldn’t count them out.Hirshberg geeft toe dat de launch van de Wii U niet vlekkeloos is verlopen, maar hij ziet de toekomst rooskleurig in:
Nintendo is a very successful company but obviously having a rough go with the Wii U launch thus far. I’m sure Nintendo and the rest of the industry wanted a different result for the Wii U, but if we can add to the appeal of the platform then we absolutely will. eerlijk dat ding is toch gewoon geflopt. een onzichtbare release nog steeds weinig tot geen interessante games. En nu al verschillende gamebedrijven die de boel al opgeven voor de wii u. Het blijft triest, want Nintendo blijft een van de vetste en belangrijkste bedrijven voor de gameindustrie.
Ik vind het een gopede reactie van Activision dat ze nintendo blijven steunen .Goed de Wii U blijft wat achter maar er zijn nog heel veel mensen die er plezier mee hebben .
