Call of Duty: Ghosts zal ook op Wii U verschijnen

Terwijl steeds meer uitgevers de Wii U in de steek laten, blijft Activision trouw aan Nintendo’s nieuwste console. Het bedrijf maakte zojuist dan ook bekend dat zij Call of Duty: Ghosts naar de Wii U zal brengen. De game zal op 5 november verschijnen, gelijktijdig met de PlayStation 3- en Xbox 360-versies.

Eric Hirshberg, directeur van Activision Publishing, vertelt:

As we have said before, we’re committed to doing everything we can to support the Wii U, which is why we’re excited to be bringing some of the most popular entertainment franchises in the world to the platform this year. The Call of Duty franchise continues to be one of the most powerful forces in gaming and Skylanders continues to enchant new fans around the world. Our studios have been hard at work creating brand new immersive experiences perfectly suited to the Wii U platform and our fall lineup has something for everyone.

Ook andere populaire Activision-franchises, zoals Skylanders en Angry Birds, maken later dit jaar hun opwachting op de Wii U. Het gaat om de volgende titels:

Call of Duty: Ghosts – The title includes Wii Remote and second-screen Wii U GamePad support and more and will release on November 5 alongside PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.

Skylanders SWAP Force – The game will release in North America on October 13, Australia on October 16 and Europe on October 18.

Angry Birds Trilogy – The game contains Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio and 40 hours of bonus levels previously not on disc and is slated for release on August 13.

Angry Birds Star Wars – The game is scheduled for release on October 29.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Plankton’s Robotic Revenge – The title is expected to release this fall.

Wipeout Create & Crash – Based on ABC’s popular TV game show, the game is expected to be released this fall.
