Vandaag onthulde uitgever Activision Blizzard zijn eigen productiestudio. Activision Blizzard Studios gaat de franchises van de uitgever naar het witte doek en het kleine scherm brengen.
Het eerste project van de studio wordt Skylanders Academy, een animatieserie rond de bekende toys-to-life-franchise. Daarnaast maakte Activision Blizzard bekend dat het plannen heeft voor een filmserie rond de Call of Duty-games. Een tv-serie rond deze immens populaire shooter behoort volgens het bedrijf ook tot de mogelijkheden. Activision-baas Bobby Kotick vertelt:

With the launch of Activision Blizzard Studios, our engaged fans can now watch the games they love come to life across film and television.
