Rare hint naar meer games in de toekomst voor Rare Replay

Volgende week verschijnt Rare Replay, een collectie van 30 iconische games van ontwikkelaar Rare. De bundel staat volledig in het teken van 30: de leeftijd van Rare, het aantal games in de collectie en de adviesprijs. Toch heeft men harde keuzes moeten maken, doordat er 30 games geselecteerd moesten worden. Een aantal grote titels heeft de schifting niet overleefd, zoals GoldenEye 007.

James Thomas van Rare laat weten dat het niet uitgesloten is dat in de toekomst nog nieuwe games aan Rare Replay worden toegevoegd. Of dat als een Rare Replay 2 of in de vorm van DLC gaat gebeuren, is onbekend en volledig speculeren. Thomas vertelde:

There is a wealth of titles that we could dip into; a huge heritage beyond the 30 that we chose. But that’s what made choosing the 30 so hard in the first place. We had to put aside [our own personal] preferences. We hope we’ve done [that], but you never know, there could be space for more.
