Molyneux mogelijk aanwezig bij Microsoft-persconferentie vanwege ‘nieuwe kans’

Peter Molyneux, de geestelijk vader van de Fable-franchise, heeft in een interview aangegeven dat hij mogelijk aanwezig zal zijn bij de Microsoft-persconferentie van 21 mei. Niet op het podium, maar in het publiek.

Molyneux vertelde dat er “een kans voor hem is ontstaan”, waar hij mogelijk gebruik van wil maken:

There’s this opportunity that’s come up for me to be involved – it’s not from Microsoft by the way – in the Xbox announcement, and I’m probably going to take up that opportunity,

Molyneux geeft aan dat de relatie tussen hem en Microsoft niet meer zo goed is:

I’m sworn to secrecy here. It should be really good fun, and maybe slightly contentious. You won’t see me on Microsoft’s stage. I can categorically say, I’m the last person they will want on their stage.

Molyneux sluit niet uit dat hij in de toekomst weer een Xbox-exclusive gaat maken:

I’m very firmly in the multi-device camp now, where it’s mobile, it’s PC and all formats and not kind of tying myself to one particular format. I’m sure if they came with a wheelbarrow of cash I might change that opinion. But at the moment there are no wheelbarrows parked outside.

Tot slot liet Molyneux weten dat de inhoud van de Curiosity-kubus misschien ook op 21 mei zal worden onthuld:

Tim [Rance, CTO] has done an analysis of probability and that’s where the probability comes out. It’s just pure luck! I suppose the conjecture of there being something to do with the Xbox in the middle would be on everyone’s minds. If I give any clues then the amazing fact that it hasn’t leaked out – because I’m just such a blabber mouth – it would be such a shame if that was the case.
