Hideo Kojima heeft tegenover het grote Japanse gamesmagazine Famitsu verteld dat hij op de volgende Tokyo Game Show misschien zijn nieuwe game kan aankondigen. Op dit moment werkt hij nog hard aan Metal Gear Online, maar dat zal zijn laatste Metal Gear Solid-project zijn. Hij heeft namelijk al aangegeven niet aan Metal Gear Solid 5 mee te werken, maar alleen als producent.
- “Until the end of this year, I have my hands full with Metal Gear Online, but at next year’s show, I think it’s okay that I should be able to announce something,”
“There are already so many good [MGS5] ideas from the staff, so if we select one of those, that would be really good. At that point I could really rely on them and take the step back to be the producer, which is the ideal situation, I think.”
Met een beetje geluk zal de Tokyo Game Show 2009 dus het toneel zijn voor zowel Metal Gear Solid 5 als Kojima’s eigen nieuwe game.
