Het Engelse Evolution Studios heeft een deal gesloten met Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. Evolution Studios, de developers van de WRC-series die inmiddels al aan haar 4e deel toe is, zal nu nog alleen maar exclusief gaan ontwikkelen voor de Europese afdeling van Sony Computer Entertainment. Dit betekent dus dat de WRC games voor altijd exclusief zullen blijven voor de PS2, en met de extra (geld)steun zal WRC de officiële World Rally Championship-licentie van FIA ook wel exclusief behouden.
