The SimSaga ESCORS LAN 2003 persbericht

Het duurt nog even voor het zover is, maar hierbij het bericht dat ESCORS (European StockCar Online Racing Series) de wereld in heeft gestuurd:

Introduction
Week after week NASCAR Racing Season 2003 league drivers meet online to race against each other in real time. Like in real racing, you compete against human opponents in real time. If you hit another car, you may not only end your race, but also the race of someone else several hundreds of miles away. Over the years many competitors have made lots of friends while racing online.

The SimSaga ESCORS LAN 2003 now offers the opportunity to get in contact with each other for some racing. There will now be a face and a character behind the name online. The SimSaga ESCORS LAN 2003 also eliminates the negative factors of online racing while competing together in a friendly atmosphere in one room, such as warp-free connections, allowing for a closer racing experience.

The Event
The SimSaga ESCORS LAN 2003 will be open for any interested people, also non-ESCORS members. It will also be possible just to drop in, watch and get together with the others. We’d like to thank all sponsors of the SimSaga ESCORS LAN 2003, including SimSaga, BallRacing Developments Ltd. and Alienware.

Location: The SimSaga ESCORS LAN 2003 will be hosted by SimSaga, located in Lummen, Belgium. A special LAN room will be provided including room for 20 competitors (tabes, chairs etc.), a separate place for 20 more participants with the ability to watch the races and a bar. BallRacing Developments Ltd. also provides a separate room where you can try out their products.

How will it work?
What do you need to bring to Lummen?

There is room for 20 computers and 40 drivers overall. There will be two groups for racing. At one time, half the drivers will be active and the other half will have some time to relax and watch the races on a big screen in a separated room. Therefore only 20 participants need to bring their gear to the event. If you cannot bring your own equipment for some reason, you need to team up with someone else to share the PC with.

If you bring your own gear, you’ll need a network-ready PC including the case, mouse, keyboard, a headphone, which are required for competitors, and a monitor.

How much will it cost?
The fee to enter SimSaga ESCORS LAN 2003 will be € 60 for two days, € 25 for only one day (without the food on Sat. evening) and contains the cost for the LAN and food in you come for the whole weekend (Saturday evening, Sunday noon). Hotel and transport are not included in this fee.
