Een van Blizzard’s beste bewindslieden, Itzik Ben Bassat, heeft afgelopen nacht tijdens een lanceringsfeest van WoW: The Burning Crusade in Londen verteld dat hij ‘hoopt’ dat er een nieuwe StarCraft of Diablo game in de nabije toekomst zal verschijnen.
- “Don’t forget that we have two more franchises that we love – Diablo and Starcraft. We haven’t forgotten that we have these two franchises, and what I can tell you is that I look forward to stand here in a few years, or whenever it’s going to be, and celebrate with you the launch of the next Starcraft or the next Diablo.”
Zowel StarCraft als Diablo kent nog altijd een grote groep fans, ondanks dat de games al vele jaren oud zijn. Het is ook niet helemaal duidelijk of dit slechts speculeren is wat Bassat deed, maar het zal niet de eerste keer zijn dat Blizzard ineens bekend maakt dat er ergens al een vervolg in ontwikkeling is.
