Paul Thomas Anderson komt met film The Master waarin Joaquin Phoenix, Philip Seymour Hoffman en Amy Adams de hoofdrollen hebben. Eerst zal de film op festivals te zien zijn (Venice en Toronto).

Set in America in the years following World War II, a charismatic intellectual (Philip Seymour Hoffman) launches a faith-based organization and taps a young drifter (Joaquin Phoenix) as his right-hand man.
