Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 zal Lords of Shadow-saga afsluiten

Zoals verwacht is er inmiddels meer informatie beschikbaar van Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. Ook in dit deel zal Dracula terugkeren, maar in het tweede Lords of Shadow-deel is hij verzwakt. Om zijn oude krachten weer te vergaren moet hij terugkeren naar zijn kasteel. Met deze hoofdverhaallijn zal ontwikkelaar MercurySteam de Lords of Shadow-serie afsluiten, aldus Dave Cox, producer van de game.

We are pleased to announce the development of the conclusion to the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow saga, giving players an all-new gameplay experience within the Lords of Shadow universe. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is the most successful Castlevania game to be released in the franchise’s history, and we are looking to provide series fans yet another nail biter, complete with Dracula’s resurrection and the Belmont clan’s desire for his final destruction.

Hoewel de game het slotstuk zal vormen van de Lords of Shadow-saga, betekent dat niet dat Konami het bij deze twee games laat. Er is namelijk ook een spin-off in ontwikkeling voor de Nintendo 3DS: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 staat gepland voor een release in 2013 voor de PlayStation 3 en Xbox 360. Tot die tijd kun je je vermaken met de zeer indrukwekkende E3-trailer van het spel.
