Het was een van de verrassende nieuwtjes toen vorige week werd bekendgemaakt dat de PlayStation 4 in aantocht is: Diablo III komt ook naar de PlayStation 3 en PlayStation 4.
Dat nieuws riep direct vragen op bij gamers over de mogelijkheid van cross-platform gamen, waarbij PC-gamers samen kunnen spelen met hun gelijken op de console. Community manager Vaeflare gaf echter op het forum van Blizzard aan dat dat niet zal gebeuren:
While we think cross-platform play would be awesome, there are currently no plans to allow connectivity between PlayStation Network and Battle.net. As a result, the characters on your Battle.net account and PlayStation account will also remain separate.
