Release Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 opnieuw uitgesteld

Hoewel Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 oorspronkelijk gepland stond om dit jaar te verschijnen, liet ontwikkelaar CI Games een paar maanden geleden weten dat een release in 2016 niet gehaald zou worden. In plaats daarvan zouden we vanaf januari 2017 aan de slag kunnen met het schietspel.

Nu blijkt ook die planning iets te rooskleurig te zijn geweest en daarom heeft CI Games besloten om Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 nogmaals uit te stellen. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 staat nu gepland om op 4 april te verschijnen voor de PlayStation 4, Xbox One en pc. Marek Tymiński, de baas van CI Games, laat weten dat men deze extra tijd nodig heeft om de game te optimaliseren:

We’re making an ambitious game and unfortunately still need an extra few months to make sure it will stand up to the expectations of the fans.

Our goal is to ensure Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 runs smoothly on all platforms, and right now we still have some important work left on optimising the game.

This is our biggest project we’ve ever worked on and the entire team is pushing really hard to make the entire experience more polished. I really hope everyone will understand our decision and will wait the extra time to play something we’re excited about, and that will redefine our IP and the sniping genre as a whole. This is a new beginning for the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series.
