Dit jaar werden voor de negentiende keer de DICE Awards uitgereikt en niet geheel onverwacht ging Fallout 4 er met de Game of the Year-prijs vandoor. Ook The Witcher 3, Ori and the Blind Forest en Rocket League waren grote winnaars.
Alle eerdergenoemde games sleepten dit jaar drie prijzen in de wacht. Rise of the Tomb Raider en Star Wars Battlefront waren beide goed voor twee awards.
Tevens werd een lifetime achievement award uitgereikt aan de vorig jaar overleden Nintendo-president Satoru Iwata. Nintendo of America-baas Reggie Fils-Aime nam deze in ontvangst en vertelde enigszins geëmotioneerd:

Mooi nog even de seasonpas van Fallout 4 kopen nu die nog 30€ is ipv 50€ en dan helemaal plat spelen als we weer wat meer tijd hebben. Super veel zin in en ook mooi dat meeste fouten er uit zijn als je het spel later haalt.
