Nissan bouwt auto om tot controller

We hebben al heel wat auto’s bestuurd met videogames, maar andersom is het nog niet voorgekomen. Nissan wil daar verandering in brengen, want de fabrikant heeft plannen om één van zijn auto’s om te bouwen tot een controller voor PES 2016!

De grote vraag is natuurlijk waarom Nissan heeft gekozen voor een voetbalgame in plaats van een racegame. Een officieel persbericht geeft het antwoord:

Nissan’s Project Controller is an interactive expedition to turn a Nissan Crossover into a Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 controller – for the first time in the history of gaming. Its mission is to drive football.

Nissan is the official global automotive sponsor of the UEFA Super Cup and UEFA Champions League, with a deal covering the periods from 2014/2015 to 2017/2018. With the Nissan Controller, fans will be once again at the heart of Nissan’s partnership. The Controller looks to engineer unexpected moments of fan excitement to enhance their experience of Europe’s most prestigious football competition. It plays on the excitement fuelling the automotive and football worlds to create an innovative experience.

De controller wordt voor het eerst getoond tijdens de UEFA Champions League-wedstrijd tussen Malmo FF en Paris Saint-German op 25 november. Onderstaande video geeft alvast een voorproefje.
