Dames en heren, hold on to your butts. Halo 5: Guardians is goud! Ontwikkelaar 343 Industries heeft laten weten dat de gouden status is bereikt en dat de game klaar is om geproduceerd en verscheept te worden. Hiermee is men precies op tijd voor de release op 27 oktober.
Studiobaas Josh Holmes bracht naast dit goede nieuws ook wat details naar buiten over een pre-launch update, die niet direct op het schijfje of bij de download verwerkt kon worden. Holmes vertelde:
We will have a multiplayer content update, prior to launch, that will supplement the online multiplayer goodness with map content for Arena Multiplayer and our all new massive-scale 12v12 Warzone Multiplayer. Of course launch is just the beginning. Our dedicated live team will be focused on supporting the game with monthly releases of new content and experiences… such as new REQ content and more than 18 free multiplayer maps.Vanaf volgende week is het al mogelijk om een digitaal exemplaar te pre-downloaden via Xbox Live.
