Met Batman: Arkham Knight bracht Rocksteady ons een zeer bevredigend slotstuk in de Arkham-serie. Dat wil natuurlijk niet zeggen dat Warner Bros. klaar is met het getergde DC-personage.
In een artikel op het PlayStation Blog is te lezen dat Ames Kirshen, de vice president of product development voor de Arkham en DC Comics games bij Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, nog veel toekomst ziet voor Batman. Sterker nog; Batman is erg belangrijk voor de uitgever.
Batman is one of the cornerstone IPs for Warner Bros. With the Arkham series, we were finally able to realize the full potential of the character. We don’t have anything to talk about at this time, but the possibilities are endless with a character as dynamic and beloved as Batman.
Het is geen opmerkelijk nieuws dat Batman nog niet is afgeschreven als game-personage, maar de last op de schouders van de studio die een volgend Batman-project zal oppakken, zal zwaar zijn.
