GTA 5 bood ons een fantastisch solo-avontuur en na afloop hiervan snakten veel spelers naar meer. Gelukkig had Rockstar eerder al aangegeven dat het plannen heeft voor verhalende DLC, maar in een recente investeerdersbespreking werd dit ontkend door Strauss Zelnick, de baas van uitgever Take-Two.
Zelnick leek zich Rockstars uitspraak niet te herinneren en daardoor vreesden veel spelers dat de verhalende DLC voor GTA 5 nu definitief van de baan is. In het transcript van de vergadering valt te lezen:

In dit bericht liet Take-Two duidelijk merken dat er nog hoop is voor GTA 5 DLC, maar tegelijkertijd wilde het niets concreets bevestigen. De bal ligt volgens het bedrijf momenteel bij Rockstar:

However, no further information has been released since. As always, we leave it to Rockstar Games to share information about their games when they’re ready.Kortom: verhalende DLC voor GTA 5 is niet uitgesloten, maar bovenstaande verklaring van Take-Two is een stuk minder hoopvol dan Rockstars uitspraak in 2013.
