De RPG-minnende gamers onder ons hebben er even op moeten wachten, maar over iets minder dan drie maanden kunnen zij eindelijk aan de slag met Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Square Enix heeft namelijk zojuist bekendgemaakt dat deze game op 27 augustus zal verschijnen, voor zowel de pc als de PlayStation 3.

Daarnaast onthulde Square Enix een zeer fraaie Collector’s Edition van de game. Deze bevat onder andere een 80 pagina’s tellend art book, een muziekalbum en diverse in-game bonussen.
