Massa’s gamers in Groot-Brittannië keken vreemd op toen zij hun retail-versie van Dead Island: Riptide activeerden via Steam. In plaats van nieuwste zombiegame van Techland, kregen zij namelijk de Prepare to Die-editie van Dark Souls voorgeschoteld!
Maurice Tan, international community manager van Deep Silver, laat weten dat er momenteel hard gezocht wordt naar een oplossing. Vooralsnog lijken alleen retail-versies uit het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Noorse landen last te hebben van het probleem:
