Gratis gesponsorde Gears of War: Judgment DLC op komst

Het sponsoren van sporters of tv-programma’s is tegenwoordig volkomen normaal, maar het komt slechts zelden voor dat een bedrijf besluit om een game te sponsoren. Dat maakt het extra tof dat Maxim, een mannenblad uit Amerika, heeft besloten om een compleet DLC-pakket voor Gears of War: Judgment te financieren.

Dit DLC-pakket zal in april verschijnen en bevat een nieuwe map genaamd Haven. Hierin staat een oud klooster, dat voorheen een tropische oase was, centraal. Ook kunnen we aan de slag met een nieuwe modus, waarin het de bedoeling is om een speler van dichtbij te executeren nadat je deze hebt neergeschoten. Slaag je hier niet snel genoeg in, dan zal jouw vijand weer tot leven komen. In de tussentijd kan hij natuurlijk ook het vuur op jou openen…

De officiële beschrijving van de nieuwe map en modus luidt als volgt:

Haven: Formerly a tropical oasis, this ancient monastery in the Azura mountains is now a frozen wasteland, thanks to the tectonic shifts on Planet Sera. Featuring an asymmetrical circular layout, the map is a guaranteed blast – all paths lead back to the center, so no matter which route you take, you’re going to be embroiled in a fast-paced, hectic battle.

Execution mode: In Execution mode, the objective of each team is to kill all members of the enemy team before the time limit runs out. The catch? Unless hit with a one-shot kill weapon like the Booshka, players go into a “Down But Not Out” state and will revive at the end of the bleed-out timer instead of dying. To finish the job, perform an Execution on a downed enemy.
