Steven Spielberg is momenteel nog bezig met de afrondingsfase van zijn Lincoln dat dit najaar in Amerika zal verschijnen en begin volgend jaar ook in Nederland te zien zal zijn. De ogen zijn ondertussen al weer naar het volgende project gericht dat Spielberg zal regisseren. Robopocalypse, een verfilming van het boek Daniel H. Wilson, zal zijn volgende kaskraker moeten worden.
Steven Spielberg heeft onlangs acteur Chris Hemsworth ontmoet die dit jaar in The Avengers en Snow White and the Huntsman verscheen. Naar verluidt zou een van Hollywood’s beste regisseurs Hemsworth graag de hoofdrol in Robopocalypse willen laten spelen.
In hoeverre Robopocalypise zal verschillen van het boek is niet bekend. Het boek gaat over het volgende:
