Hoewel normaal gesproken alleen Activision en EA bezig zijn met moddergooien over Battlefield en Call of Duty, heeft Ubisoft nu ook van zich laten horen. Als je namelijk een ‘slimme shooter’ wilt spelen moet je volgens Jean-Marc Geffroy, creative director bij Future Soldier, aan de slag gaan met Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Hij gelooft dan ook dat de strategische shooter een andere ervaring biedt dan ‘zijn rivalen’ en dat Future Soldier verschillende innovaties brengt:
