Tot vorig jaar hebben we lang moeten wachten op een nieuwe F1-game en het blijkt dat mensen blij waren met de uiteindelijke komst van F1 2010, want de game is tot nu toe 2.3 miljoen keer over de toonbank geracet. Dit overstijgt zelfs Codemasters’ eigen verwachtingen, aldus Codemaster communicatie-manager, Andy Gray:
“It’s fair to say that it surpassed expectations. Hopefully we’ll keep this up for this year’s game.”Dit jaar is een vervolg gepland met de verrassende naam F1 2011. Deze zal op 29 september verschijnen voor de Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 en de PC.“There was a perception that F1 was in freefall as a games franchise as sales of the Sony titles had tailed off over the years,” Gray added. “We have some cool things up our sleeve. We have learnt a great deal in the couple of years we have been working with the licence which can only benefit the game.”
