Iedereen heeft ongetwijfeld gehoord van het vreselijke tsunami dat vorige week in Japan plaatsvond. Deze natuurramp heeft inmiddels aan zo’n 9500 mensen het leven gekost, terwijl er inmiddels ruim 15.600 personen vermist worden. Iedereen probeert op zijn eigen manier zijn steentje bij te dragen en zo ook Valve. De ontwikkelaar kondigde zojuist drie nieuwe hoedjes aan voor hun game met een prijs variërend van $7,99 tot $99,99. Al het geld dat Valve verdient met de verkoop van deze hoofddeksels gaat rechtstreeks naar het noodhulpfonds dat het Amerikaanse Rode Kruis voor Japan heeft opgezet. All proceeds (net of applicable taxes) will go directly towards the Japanese disaster relief fund that the American Red Cross has set up. The hats can be equipped by all classes; however, they cannot be traded or used for crafting.
After April 6, none of these items will be available in any form. We encourage you to spend as much as you are comfortable with contributing to this good cause.
