De man verklaarde:
The reason it has taken us so long to do a sequel to Battlefield 2, is we felt with the introduction of the new consoles like Xbox 360 and PS3 we needed a new big step when it comes to technology.
We needed the new Frostbite engine we developed for Bad Company 1, and by doing that we spent all of our effort into making a game that used the whole range of technology within those platforms. It was quite an undertaking… and was also one of the reasons Bad Company 1 wasn’t released for PC, actually.
This was something that if we could have done it, we would have done [things] differently. But it was a major effort just to get it out and get it working.
It’s every important for us that everything we do needs to be of high quality. You can call it some kind of pride in what we do… We really take pride in making sure that people not only buy the game… but are also happy with the purchase and feel good about the community that they have bought into and the longevity of the product, that we take care of them post launch. Quality is a key motivator for us here.
