USA Today heeft vandaag nieuwe details vrijgegeven in haar preview van Treyarch’s volgende game, Call of Duty: Black Ops. Ze zeggen dat de game inderdaad een co-op voor maximaal 4 spelers krijgt. Ook bevestigt de preview dat je niet in een SR-71, het vliegtuig dat je zag in de teaser, kan vliegen door hem zelf te besturen, maar je zult vanaf het vliegtuig naar beneden kijken om troepen te sturen.
- “Players spy on suspicious activity while piloting a Lockheed SR-71 recon aircraft over the Ural Mountains… from the initial piloting of a reconnaissance aircraft to on the ground combat in the Soviet Union. […] Apparently the 2-4-player co-op in the game’s main story will focus on two characters over “multiple covert international conflicts”.”
Misschien wordt de missie met het SR-71 vliegtuig wel net zoiets als de missie Black Cats uit Call of Duty: World at War. In die missie zat je namelijk ook in een vliegtuig, maar mocht je niet zelf vliegen.
