SCi gaat verder onder de naam Eidos

SCi heeft laten weten dat het bedrijf spoedig een nieuwe merknaam zal gaan voeren, namelijk Eidos. SCi stond als moederbedrijf altijd al samen met uitgever Eidos in de markt, maar volgens de directie heeft Eidos het grote voordeel van meer naamsbekendheid, waardoor men zich volledig wil verbinden aan de merknaam Eidos.

Het financiële statement luidde als volgt:

“We are focusing our efforts on our cornerstone franchises, which are predominantly associated with the Eidos brand. The Eidos name is widely recognized in the games marketplace and is our trading name. The board feels that it would be beneficial to align the name of the listed company to the strong product brand that Eidos represents in order to benefit from a single identity and clearer outward and internal communication. Therefore it is the board’s recommendation to change the name of the Company to Eidos plc.”
