Sony Online Entertainment werkt momenteel aan de titel EverQuest Online Adventures: Frontiers. Deze Everquest versie voor de Playstation 2 komt in de lente van dit jaar uit. De makers introduceren deze game omdat in Amerika inmiddels als ruim 500.000 huishoudens over een Playstation 2 beschikken die ook online kan.
Het spel bevat een wereld van ruim 162 vierkante mijl en er zijn vele verschillende gebieden te ontdekken, “from the beautiful red rock canyons of Odus to the treacherous lava streams in Lavastorm”. De features van de game:
