GameSpyDaily kwam vandaag met de melding dat Blizzard Entertainment cheaters waarschuwt bij het online spelen van Warcraft III op Battle.net. Spelers die gebruik maken van cheats als de map hack cheat worden niet langer getolereerd. Gebruikers worden niet alleen verwijderd op Battle.net, maar de cd-key zal ook niet langer worden ondersteund:
Warcraft III Map Hack Update – 8/29/2002
In keeping with our aggressive stance against hacks and cheats, we have recently banned the CD keys of certain players found using the map hack in Warcraft III. Furthermore, we will continue to randomly monitor games connected through Battle.net to ensure fair play. The accounts of players found using map hack programs will be deleted, and their CD-Keys may be permanently disabled.
